Times Article Doesn't Give Obama Credit Where It's Due

The August 13, 2010 article in the New York Times on the recovery of the domestic auto industry doesn't give the credit to the Obama Administration - in the face of the Party of No, led by Richard Shelby of right-to-work Alabama - for not letting the industry die, and with it, the manufacturing base of this country and a million or more jobs. For all the right's complaints about a government takeover, no such thing occurred. The Administration simply bought the Big Three time to clean up their act on their own, to slash bloated payrolls and build cars to compete against foreign competitors. As President Obama said at the time, he didn't want the government in the car business, and, now, it isn't.
